Founded in 1994, Kissy Municipal Senior Secondary School has been a cornerstone of quality education in Freetown's Kissy community. What started as a small institution with just a handful of classrooms has grown into one of the most respected secondary schools in Sierra Leone.
Throughout our journey, we have remained committed to our founding principles: providing accessible, high-quality education to all students regardless of their background. Our school has weathered many challenges, including the civil conflict of the late 1990s and the Ebola crisis, emerging stronger and more resilient each time.
Today, we proudly serve over 1,500 students across three grade levels (SSS 1, SSS 2, and SSS 3), with a dedicated team of 75+ qualified teachers and staff. Our alumni have gone on to become doctors, engineers, lawyers, teachers, and leaders in various fields, carrying forward the values instilled in them during their time at Kissy Municipal.
As we look to the future, we continue to innovate and adapt, incorporating modern teaching methods and technology while preserving the traditions and values that make our school unique.

Meet the dedicated team leading Kissy Municipal Senior Secondary School
Mr. Alpha Beddor Kanu leads our school with over 25 years of experience in education, guiding our academic programs and school development initiatives.
Mrs. Fatmata Koroma oversees curriculum development, academic standards, and teacher development programs.
Mr. Ibrahim Sesay manages daily school operations, student affairs, and administrative functions.
